I Miss You... But My Aim is Improving...
“I don’t know why we, as the gay community, fight so hard to be accepted into society. We pretend like we can blend and be a part of a society that openly hates us. That pickets our funerals, that beats us up and bullies us in our schools, that preaches for our downfall from pulpits. There are companies that openly discriminate against us and spend millions of dollars to fight against us having just the basic rights of a human being. There are clinics that offer conversion therapy to gay teens to treat their “homosexual urges” as if being gay was a disease. We are picked on, bullied, beaten, raped and killed by the very society that we are trying so hard to be a part of. We have been made to hate ourselves, to feel different, to despise who we are as a person to the point that we hide and try to blend in out of fear that our families and friends will find out who we really are. All the parades, pride rallies and laws won’t change the fact that society as a whole doesn’t want us. So I say fuck society and its hypocritical moral codes. I say fuck the churches and community leaders that preach hate and our damnation. I say fuck trying to blend in and be accepted and start making our own society. We need to start supporting each other and fight fire with fire. We need to go to these churches preaching hate and vandalize them, picket their funerals, boycott the member’s stores, restaurants and businesses. If we see a gay kid being bullied, we need to get together and go find those bullies and kick their asses. When we see people stare at us in malls or stores and making insulting remarks, we need to tell those people how disgusting and foul they are and how we hope people like them burn in hell. When one of us is beaten, raped or killed in a hate crime, we need to seek out those responsible and make them pay for their crimes by any means necessary. We need to fight in the streets, fight in the playgrounds, fight in the courtrooms and fight in the homes and make our presence felt. We need to stop trying to be accepted and blend in and start taking what is rightfully ours.”
